SMS Messaging Terms
Last updated July 2026
CallKeep, operated by Innotech Development Group LLC, powers text messaging for local service businesses (such as auto repair shops). This page describes the messaging program, how consumers consent to receive messages, the disclosures that apply, and how to opt out.
1. Program description
When a consumer calls a participating business and the business cannot answer, the business sends the consumer a text message so it can still help them. Messages are one-to-one customer-care replies: they answer the consumer's questions and help schedule service. This is not marketing, and messages are only ever sent in response to a consumer who has first called the business.
2. How consumers opt in
Consent is established by the consumer's own inbound phone call to the business:
- The consumer voluntarily places a phone call to the business's published phone number, which provides their mobile number to the business by caller ID.
- If the business cannot answer, the call is answered by an automated voice greeting that identifies the business by name and informs the caller that a text message is being sent so they can be helped by text.
- The business then sends a single SMS to the same number the consumer called from. That first message identifies the business by name and includes the disclosures below, including how to opt out.
- The consumer may then reply to continue, or opt out at any time. Consent is specific to each consumer's own call. No number is pre-loaded, purchased, or added without the consumer's own inbound call.
3. Disclosures
- Message frequency varies by conversation.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out and stop all further messages from that business.
- Reply HELP for assistance.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. Opt-out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and the business will not send you further messages. You can reply START to opt back in.
5. Privacy and contact
No mobile opt-in information is sold or shared with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Questions: hello@callkeep.ai.
